Duplicating gel is a modeling material used in prosthesis fabrication, with a melting point of 93.5 °C. It is re-meltable, but after each use some moisture is lost, requiring the addition of distilled water during re-melting to restore original properties. Sun Gel is highly suitable for casting techniques. Direct flame heating is not recommended; special gel-melting devices are safer and more precise. The optimal working temperature after melting is about 50 °C, which prevents distortion of wax patterns and increases the accuracy of the final prosthesis.
